IMTT-NTL., Newfoundland Limited (July - October, 2015)

​The scope of the work entailed underwater investigation on marine structures to determine condition.  Scope of work (SOW) included UT thickness readings with video and digital pictures. Dive team used Sea-Force Diving’s Land Craft to set up a mobile diving spread consisting of a 3 diver system with HP back up in water depths ranging from 1m – 30m. Dive hats used consisted of KM 37’s and KMB 28’s as both primary and secondary use. At the end of the project a detailed report was co​​mpiled of all found damage and deterioration for Dillon to determine a course of action to address future deterioration.

Install Galvanic Anodes on Steel Sheet Wall (May-June, 2015)

The scope of  work entailed installation of 118 galvanic anodes on the older section of Steel Sheet Pile wall (SSP). This involved the use of HP wash to remove the heavy marine growth in areas of install only. Client supplied rigging and equipment to place anodes in the water for dive crew to weld. All anodes were installed at predetermined elevations as noted by on site client representatives. All work was completed on time and under budget, using KM 37's and KMB 28's as both primary and secondary use. Sea-Force personel all preformed work with no lost time incidents and zero first aid reports.

ROV survey M.V. Manolis L (May 29-June 4, 2015)

The scope of work entailed the removal of one coffer dam from the wreck. The original coffer dam was located over the oil leak and was noted to be 1/3 full of oil. This coffer dam was recovered after 8 large sand bags were removed from the coffer dam using Sea-Force's ROV as guidance. A new coffer dam was then installed over the oil leak and secured with new sand bags. A detailed wreck survey was completed around and under the wreck to determine entanglement issues, as well as locate lost data collectors for tide and current readings. All work was completed under budget, with zero lost time or first aid incidents.

Ultrasonic Inspection on 131 Batter Piles (April, 2015)

The scope of work entailed cleaning and performing non-destructive testing on 131 batter piles. The non-destructive testing was performed with Ultrasonic equipment using a Cygnus underwater thickness gauge. Readings were taken from +1.2m above LNT to -1.5 below LNT at 300mm intervals then every 1m to seafloor. Approximately 6900 ultrasonic readings were taken over a course of 10 days. Sea-Force prepared a detailed report with loss thickness analysis and residual thickness analysis for maintenance forecasting. A hierarchy on the batter piles was formulated to determine urgency of repairs. All work completed using KM 37's and KMB 28's as both primary and secondary use. Sea-Force preformed thi work on time and uner budget, with no lost time incidents and zero first aids reports.

Structural Inspection of Structures 1-3, Fortune (Dec, 2014)

The scope of work entailed a detailed inspection on structures 1-3 using video, still photographs and ultrasonic testing. A total of 24 H-piles where cleaned of marine growth using HP wash and hand tools. Additional work involved navigational hazard survey of berths and inspection on wooden fender piles. Dive hats used consisted of KM 37's and KMB 28's as both primary and secondary use. At the end of the project, a detailed report was compiled to determine a course of action to remediate future deterioration.

Assist with Install of New Power Cables (September-November, 2014)

The scope of work entailed assisting with laying cables in pre-determined pathways by the client and installation of articulating pipe collars over cables close to shoreline. Cables were placed in 150m long trench for additional protection on Bell Island landing areas. Cables were anchored  to bedrock to prevent movement during foul weather. All work was completed from our land craft using KM 37's and KMB 28's as both primary and secondary use. Sea-Force preformed all work with no lost time incidents and zero first aid reports.

Removal of damaged spuds on Jack-up Barge (August, 2014)

The scope of work entailed the removal of four damaged spuds from the Jack-up barge. All work procedures where developed for this project and approved by the client's representatives with Golder Associates Ltd and Husky Oil. Diving work was conducted using Sea-Force mobile diving gear from the Jack-up barge and mobile diving units from the Argentia Terminal Wharf. Equipment used consisted of U/W burning gear, Lift Bags and various rigging equipment. Dive hats used consisted of KM 37's and KMB 28's as both primary and secondary use. Sea-Force preformed all work with no lost time incidents and zero first aid reports.

Install 50 Steel Pile Jackets (July – September, 2014)

The scope of work entailed the installation of 50 steel jackets measuring 3000mm long on the bearing and batter piles for the Marine Terminal. Work was performed from one of Sea-Force Diving's mobile diving units using various tools (i.e. air impact guns, chain hoists, HP wash and concrete pumper). Dive hats used consisted of KM 37's and KMB 28's as both primary and secondary use. Sea-Force preformed all work with no lost time incidents and zero first aid reports.

Install Trash Boom (August, 2014)

The scope of work entailed the placement of a trash boom in the settling Pond for the Long Harbour Nickle Production Plant. Sea-Force installed 300m of 600mm boom with 42 sets of anchors, limit the movement of debris towards discharge lines in the retention pond. All work was completed on time and on budget with zero incidents .

ROV survey M.V. Manolis L (June/July, 2014)

The scope of work entailed the removal of two coffer dams from the wreck. One coffer dam was not in use and was recovered for future use. The second coffer dam was located over the oil leak and was noted to be ¾ full of oil. This coffer dam was recovered after 8 large sand bags were removed from the coffer dam using Sea-Force's ROV as guidance. A newly designed coffer dam was then installed over the oil leak and secured with new sand bags. A detailed wreck survey was completed around and under the wreck to determine entanglement issues, orientation of deck cranes and areas wreck which is making contact with seafloor. All work was completed under budget with zero lost time or first aid incidents.

The scope of work entailed the placement of a new coffer dam and sand bags on the noted oil leak from a previous survey in December, 2013. Upon completion of containing the oil leak with a new coffer dam, a survey was completed on the hull to determine the condition of the original sand bag that was placed on May 2013.

Scope of work entailed the survey of the wreck of the M.V. Manolis L to identify the location of a sudden oil release. The Survey determined that the coffer dam had moved position and was now near the edge of the hull. The leak was determined to be the same as was noted on previous surveys. This work was completed using Sea-Force Diving's two observation class ROV's. Work was successfully completed on time and under budget.

Scope of work entailed the survey of the wreck of the M.V. Manolis L identify the location of an additional oil leak from the Manolis wreck. The survey encompassed the coffer Dam, sand bag with neoprene seal and complete hull survey. This work was completed using Sea-Force Diving's two observation class ROV's. Work was successfully completed on time and under budget.

Argentia Level III inspection on Steel piles

Scope of work entailed the visual inspection and Ultrasonic testing of 150 steel pipe piles at the Argentia Marine Terminal to assist with selection of piles requiring immediate attention for repairs. The work was conducted at a busy marine terminal with no interruption of vessel traffic and successfully met all time and cost estimates. All diving work was completed using surface supplied air spread from a mobile unit.

Salvage of 415 Water Bomber (18tn)

Scope of work entailed survey and evidence collection for the Transportation Safety Board of Canada as well as the attachment of enclosed and parachute lift bags for recovery of water bomber. This was completed with no additional damage to the water bomber from the control ditching. Plane was recovered from the middle of the lake and towed for approximately 1.5 km with lift bags attached, to a prepared recovery zone.

Scope of work entailed the survey of the wreck of the M.V. Manolis L to identify the location of additional oil leaks from Manolis wreck, and install a steel coffer dam. The coffer Dam will collect the small release of oil for recovery at a later date. This work was completed using Sea-Force Diving's two observation class ROV's. Work was successfully completed on time and under budget.

Scope of work entailed the survey of the wreck of the M.V. Manolis L , to identify the location of oil leaks from the wreck and install a subsea sand bag with a large neoprene gasket over the leaks. This work was completed using Sea-Force Diving's two observation class ROV's. Work was successfully completed on time and under budget.

Technip Canada Limited (May-November 2013)

Supplied diving personnel and diving services onboard the Technip DSV Wellservicer for the "Gas Injection Phase" of the SWRX Drill Centre expansion for the purpose of re-injecting gas produced by the existing production facilities. (SWRX was a brand new drill centre excavated in 2012). For the 2013 work scope, Technip positioned and piled several structures including the production manifold, SDU and SCM. This was connected to the existing NE drill centre via the first rigid pipeline laid in the "Grand Banks" and associated control umbilical. Provision was also made for future expansion on a new gravity base structure currently under construction via a "Midline T Module". The tie in at the NE drill centre was through a new "Gas Injection Module" fitted into a modified existing manifold.

Undermining repairs (2012)

Scope of work entailed the location and repair of approximately 47 cubic meters of undermining on the marine terminal for the Provincial ferry system. Dive hats used on each project are KM 37's and KMB 28 which were used as both primary and secondary dive hats.

Scope of work consists of welding 76 (qty) 175lb anodes to SSP Wall to prevent corrosion. Dive hats used on each project are KM 37's and KMB 28 which were used as both primary and secondary dive hats.

Pouch Cove Marine Slipway (2012)

Scope of work consists of placing formwork on the seafloor and filling with concrete to accommodate steel beams for a new marine slipway. Dive hats used on each project are KM 37's and KMB 28 which were used as both primary and secondary dive hats.

Terminal Wharf (2012)

Scope of work consists of the installation of 26 steel jackets on the existing steel and bearing piles and batters. Steel jackets were filled with non-shrink grout and secured to the underside of the deck. This was completed after an extensive level lll (Ultrasonic testing) inspection was completed by Sea-Force Diving. Dive hats used on each project are KM 37's and KMB 28 which were used as both primary and secondary dive hats.

Newfoundland Power (2012)

ROV Survey & Diving Operations Bell Island Power Cables

Scope of work included marking existing cables with buoys to assist with the placement of spud legs for barge; attach Yale grips to recover power cable for repair and cut cable for recovery; assist with placement of repaired cable and install cable protection (steel necklace) as needed. An ROV survey was perform of the seafloor for post and pre construction status.

Long Harbour Pier Re-Construction

Scope of work included the installation of steel bracing to support form work for the overhang section of the new finger pier. This involved the use of a 200tn crane working from a floating platform. Additional work conducted consisted of closed video inspection of concrete caissons and steel form work. All diving operations were conducted using surface supplied air spreads from a mobile container. Underwater tools used on the project included hydraulic drills, u/w burning/welding equipment and lift bags.

Trident Construction

Pier 28 -31, Steel Sheet Pile Repairs and Encasements Extensions (2011 -2012)

Scope of work consisted of welding steel sheets onto an existing SSP wall (270m) and pumping concrete to mitigate the corrosion to SSP wall at LNT.  In addition, 26 existing encasements where extended 1.2m with steel jackets to extend the protection zone on the bearing piles at berth 28. Dive hats used on each project are KM 37's which were used as both primary and secondary dive hats. Dive suits used where both Viking HD contaminated and Hunter HD.

Twillingate & Fogo Undermining Repairs (2011)

Scope of work consisted of the installation of seaform bags in undermined areas and filling voids with concrete. This was performed at three locations on the Twillingate site and at 2 locations at Fogo Island. Dive hats used on each project are KM 37's and a KMB 28 which were used as both primary and secondary dive hats.

Hibernia Offshore loading System Replacement (2011) – DSV Wellservicer

Supplied diving personnel and diving services onboard the Technip DSV Wellservicer for the disconnect, recovery and disposal of the existing OLS structures and the installation of replacement structures. Both existing OLS riser systems and riser bases were removed and replaced with two new Offshore Loading Systems supplied by Advanced Production & Loading Inc (APL). These new Offshore Loading Systems (supplied complete with new riser base structures and risers) will be connected via new Tie-In spools to the existing Main Offshore Pipelines and Interconnecting Offshore Pipeline.

Technip Canada Limited - Suncor Flowline Replacement Project (2011) – DSV Wellservicer

Supplied diving personnel and diving services onboard the Technip DSV Wellservicer for the Installation of one 5" Gas Lift Flowline (Length 1800 m), one 6"/2.5" Bundled Jumper (Length 130 m) and one 5" Weak Link Jumper (Length 26 m) in the Northwest and Southwest Drill Centres in the Terra Nova Field.

Salvage of F.V. Connie James, June, 2011

Sea-Force salvaged the fishing vessel Connie James in Savage Cove, NL, which had caught fire and sunk at the public wharf. Sea-Force secured the site and moved the wreck to shallow water, where it was refloated. All fuel was removed from the vessel with no loss off pollutants. The Vessel was towed to the shoreline and dismantled on site, as the severe damage from the fire and towing over a long distance was not prudent.

Technip Canada Limited - Hibernia Southern Extension (EPC5) 2011 Early Works (2011) – DSV Wellservicer

Supplied diving personnel and diving services onboard the Technip DSV Wellservicer for the removal of existing J-tube flanges, and installation of bellmouth/support structures and bridge structures at the base of the Hibernia GBS in preparation for the Hibernia Southern Extension Riser and Umbilical Pull-In Operations.

Salvage of F.V. Ryan's Pride June, 2011

Sea-Force salvaged the fishing vessel Ryan's Pride in Griquet, NL. The vessel was refloated and Sea-Force removed all fuel from the vessel with no loss off pollutants. The damaged to the vessel that caused the sinking was repaired and vessel was towed to a marine yard for repairs.

H.J. O'Connell, December 2010 – January 2011

Provide diving services to weld angle brackets to support a new fender system for the new RO-RO Ramp for the Vale Inco site at Long Harbour, NL. Sea-Force developed a welding procedure and divers were tested on their underwater welding by a CWB welding inspector. In addition, inspection work was completed on marine structures at the site, including the armour breakwater, Steel Sheet Pile wharf and concrete caissons.

Inspections on marine structures and Breakwaters under a standing offer. SOW includes inspections on structures consisting of wooden cribwork, steel sheet pile walls, steel H-piles and steel tube piles. Equipment utilized consists of video cameras, digital cameras, UT thickness gauges and hydraulic coring tools. Projects are completed using Sea-Force Diving's mobile diving unit which consists of a 2007 cube van and two 6m trailers. All spreads consist of 3 diver systems with HP supplied air panels. Dive hats used on each project are KM 37's and KMB 28's which were used as both primary and secondary dive hats.  Performed undermining repairs to several washouts around marine structures (i.e. Twillingate, Fogo Island, and Burin etc).

Salvage of F.V. Fundy Mistress, June, 2011

The Fundy Mistress ran aground at Pointe Riche Lighthouse in Port Aux Choix, NL. The vessel was not able to be salvaged in one piece as it had broken in half at midship, as the area is an ecological protected site due to rare plant life. This was a difficult salvage as all work was completed from a vessel and no material was allow to be hauled ashore. The vessel was removed in pieces and towed to Port Saunders for removal. There was minimal release of pollutants at the site, all of which had occurred before Sea-Force arrived on the scene. The site was cleaned up with no disturbance to plant life.

G.J. Cahill Limited – June 2010 – December 2010

Up grading of the intake pumps at the pump house at North Atlantic Research Center, St. John's, NL. Work included drilling 50 rock bolt holes 3m into the side of the shaft, installing new wire mesh and grouting of rock bolts, As well as the removal of old pump cages and installing new cages around new pumps. Inspection of access tunnel and removal of debris from tunnel. Equipment used on this project included an underwater hydraulic sinker drill, underwater burning equipment and video gear.

Transocean December 2009 – January 2010

Port and Starboard thruster removal and installation. Scope of work included utilizing 20tn underwater lift bags (procedure drafted and implemented by Sea-Force Diving) to remove and re-install thrusters. Thrusters were removed and installed in record time. Exceeding all previous time frames allotted for removal and installation. Coverage consisted of 6 divers and a project superintendent for 16hrs a day, 7 days a week. A total of 3130 man hours were spent on the project with zero lost time incurred. All diving was conducted from a barge from two containerized diving spreads in water depths ranging from 10m to 30m. Dive spreads consist of 3 diver systems with HP supplied air panels. Dive hats used on the project were KM 37's and KMB 28's which were used as both primary and secondary dive hats.

Penny Energy, August – December 2009

Transocean refit on the GSF Grand Banks. Scope of work included removal of both thrusters utilizing underwater lift bags (procedure drafted and implemented by Sea-Force Diving) in conjunction with Mammoet Crane Services; blanking of sea chest bays for sea chest upgrades and valve replacement; and installation of coffer dam for repair to hull penetration. Sea-Force Diving provided 24hr  a day coverage 7 days a week with 10 divers and a project superintendent for 115 days. Totaling 30,360 man hours with zero lost time. All diving was conducted from a barge from two containerized diving spreads in water depths ranging from 5m to 30m. Dive spreads consist of 3 diver systems with HP supplied air panels. Dive hats used on project were KM 37's and KMB 28 which were used as both primary and secondary dive hats. Thruster removal milestones were accomplished with both thruster removals on time and on budget.

North Amethyst Extension Project. Scope of work included the supply of 20 saturation divers, 4 ROV personnel and 6 life support technicians for extension to the White Rose Field. Sea-Force Diving arranged accommodations, travel and training for personnel to meet client's needs.

Inspections on marine structures and Breakwaters. Scopew of work includes inspections on structures consisting of wooden cribwork, steel sheet pile walls, steel H-piles and steel tube piles. Maher's Industrial Group, June 2008 – April 2009

Salvage of 80m fishing trawler at Long Harbour, NL. Scope of work included underwater cutting of vessel into smaller pieces for removal with 450tn crane. Divers utilized 20tn underwater lift bags to move sections of the wreck weighting between 40–100tns to the lift zone for removal by 450tn crane. All rigging was completed by Sea-Force Diving with zero incidents during lifting operations. The project was completed with 7 divers with a project superintendent, 7 days a week, 11 hrs a day. Diving operations were conducted from two of Sea-Force Diving mobile diving spreads. These diving spreads consist of 2 -3 diver surface air diving systems with HP air supplied compressors. Dive hats used on project were KM 37's and KMB 28's which were used as both primary and secondary dive hats. The vessel was completely removed in the time frame allotted for site turn over to Vale Inco.

Transocean, May 2008

Docksides refit at Mary's Town, NL. Scope of work included blanking of hull penetrations and sea chest for valve replacement or inspection, hull cleaning and DNV UWILD rated class survey, and underwater welding repair to STBD side thruster knot nuzzle. The project was completed with 2 separate dive spreads and dive crews with a project manager. All diving was conducted from a barge from two containerized diving spreads in water depths ranging from 10m to25m's. Dive spreads consist of 3 diver systems with HP supplied air panels. Dive hats used on project were KM 37's and KMB 28 which were used as both primary and secondary dive hats. The time allotted for the project was 40 days at 12 hrs a day. A total of 5280 man hours was spent with zero lost time incidents.

Salvage of F.V. L.J. Kennedy, April, 2007

Sea-Force salvaged the fishing vessel L.J. Kennedy in Port Aux Choix, NL. The fishing vessel had caught fire and sunk at the public wharf by the local fire department. The vessel was refloated and Sea-Force removed all fuel from the vessel with no loss off pollutants. This was a difficult salvage due to the time of the year and the harbour frozen over. The Vessel was towed to Port Saunders and dismantled on site.

Gas Lift Jumper Installation / Husky White Rose. Scope of work consisted storing and maintenance of the Gas Lift Jumper at Sea-Force Diving's warehouse at 44 Dundee Avenue. 

North Atlantic Refinery Limited, September – December 2006

Anode Installation at the Come By Chance facility, Arnold's Cove. Scope of work included underwater welding of 280 zinc anodes weighing 145kg each. Dives were conducted in water depths ranging from 3m – 30m from the deck of the M.V. Innovation. Dive spread consisted of a 3 diver air spread with HP compressor back up using KM 37's as primary dive hat and secondary back up. Project was completed from October 2006 to March 2007.

Coady Construction (June – July, 2006)

Scope of work entailed the installation of 1.4km of 1200mm sanitary outfall in Conception Bay. The outfall consists of 8 duckbill diffusers and 103 concrete weight. All work was completed using Sea-Force mobile diving units with dive hats consisting of KM 37's and KMB 28's as both primary and secondary use. Equipment used on the project consisted of air impact guns, lift bags and vessel support. All work was completed on time with zero lost time and on budget or first aid incidents.

Global SantaFe International (Canada) May 2006

Diving support for refit and DNV UWILD Inspection on the Glomar Grand Banks. Scope of work includes a DNV UWILD class rated hull survey which include hull cleaning and video inspection. Dive team used a vessel of convenience to set up a mobile diving spread consisting of a 3 diver system with HP back up. Dive hats used consisted of KM 37's and KMB 28's as both primary and secondary use.

Penney Energy Offshore Limited – March & April 2005

Underwater inspection of M.O.D.R. Henry Goodrich. Scope of work included underwater welding and cutting, DNV UWILD class survey, digital pictures, sea chest isolations and hull cleaning. All diving was conducted from a barge from two containerized diving spreads in water depths ranging from 10m to 30m. Dive spreads consist of 3 diver systems with HP supplied air panels. Dive hats used on project were KM 37's and KMB 28's which were used as both primary and secondary dive hats.  Sea-Force Diving provided 24hr coverage 7 days a week with 10 divers and a project superintendent for 115 days. A total of 11,880 man hours were spent on the project with zero lost time incurred.

Bay Bulls Marine Terminal, 2004

Provision of diving support, Husky Turret Buoy. Scope of work is to supply diving support for Turret Buoy preparation for deployment to the White Rose.  Diving operations were conducted from two of Sea-Force Diving mobile diving spreads. These diving spreads consist of 2 -3 diver surface air diving systems with HP air supplied compressors. Dive hats used on project were KM 37's and KMB 28's which were used as both primary and secondary dive hats. 

IMTT-NTL., Newfoundland Limited, July – September 2003

Underwater investigation of Marine Structures Condition Assessment of the Newfoundland Transshipment Terminal, Whiffen Head, NL. SOW included UT thickness readings with video and digital pictures. Dive team used a vessel of convenience to set up a mobile diving spread consisting of a 3 diver system with HP back up in water depths ranged from 1m – 30m's. Dive hats used consisted of KM 37's and KMB 28's as both primary and secondary use. At end of project a detailed report was compiled of all found damage and deterioration for IMTT to determine a course of action to remediate future deterioration.
